Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will offer £7 million for Wigan Athletic winger Luis Antonio Valencia in January.
The Mirror says the Spurs boss hopes to steal a march on Liverpool and Aston Villa by snapping up the Ecuador international next month.
But Wigan boss Steve Bruce is keen to fend off interest in the 23-year-old.
