Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak remains on the radar of Liverpool.
Reds boss Roy Hodgson admits he needs to buy a new striker in January and has been made aware by intermediaries Pogrebnyak can be bought for £11 million.
The Russia international has struggled to settle in Germany and Stuttgart management are keen to move him on.
