Tottenham keeper Brad Friedel was full of praise for his opposite number Tim Krul after the Newcastle man pulled off a string of spectacular saves as the Toon triumphed 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday. "Krul was outstanding today," said Friedel. "We were very poor, to our standards, in the first half but we still carved out two or three decent chances and he made two great saves in the first half.
"In the second half there were consequences of balls just hitting him or him making great saves, and it's a day that he'll remember I'm sure.
"As a goalkeeper we've all had them. He's had one here so he is going to go home feeling a million dollars, that's for sure."
