Tottenham have joined the battle for West Ham United midfielder Momo Diame.
The Daily Mail says Tottenham are the latest club to make a move for Diame as Andre Villas-Boas attempts to strengthen his midfield after losing Sandro for the rest of the season.
Villas-Boas would prefer Joao Moutinho but accepts Porto are unlikely to sell in mid-season and chairman Daniel Levy is attracted by the value of the £3.5million buy-out clause in Diame's West Ham contract.
Even if the Senegal international moves to White Hart Lane this month and fails to impress, Spurs feel they could sell him on in the summer and make a quick profit and refocus on other targets.
