Tottenham issue positive update on Lloris

Tottenham have issued a positive update regarding the condition of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman was involved in an unfortunate incident, when he dislocated his elbow in a 3-0 defeat against Brighton last month.

The 32-year-old has gone through with surgery on his elbow, which means he should be back in training by January.

Paul Gazzaniga has filled in admirably for Lloris, with the young keeper showing he could be the one for the future at Spurs.

"Following further clinical testing and examination, Hugo Lloris has now undergone surgery on his left elbow," read a club statement.

"Surgery was advised after further reviews by specialists found the elbow remained unstable. Our Club captain remains on course to return to training in the early part of next year."
