Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp isn't ready to cut loose veteran defender Ryan Nelsen.

Nelsen, who joined Spurs on a six-month deal from Blackburn Rovers in January, is being linked with a return to MLS and DC United.

However, the Guardian says Nelsen is expected to be granted a one-year option on his contract.
