Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris says France let themselves down for their 1-1 draw with World Cup qualifying opponents Ukraine.

France delivered a disappointing performance and Lloris was unhappy at the final whistle.

"We needed to get the second goal," said Lloris.

"We should have done a lot more to get it, especially in the second half. After the break, we lacked aggression and intensity in our game.

"We should have been ahead 2-0 at halftime, which would have been a better scenario to go to halftime with. This is not good enough for our first match."
