Tottenham fullback Rose insists he's no cheat

Tottenham fullback Danny Rose insists he's no cheat after victory at Stoke City.

Stoke fans accused the left back of getting Ryan Shawcross sent off and dozens waited behind for 45 minutes to hand him abuse as he stepped onto the team coach.

Rose, who netted the winner, said: "I don't mind people booing me but I did lose my head for 10 seconds. It was because of the bad tackle but nothing to do with the fans.

"I never want to hide but taking me off was the right thing for the manager to do.

"And reacting like I did was the wrong thing. I think I'm lucky not to get sent off.

"I didn't fake it - Shawcross did catch me through the shin pads. At first the referee didn't give it and I don't know why he changed his mind.

"It was the right decision but I don't think he realised he had already booked Shawcross in the first half. But he booked him again and had to send him off.

"I think everything is OK between the teams, it is football and it happens.

"We are over the moon for holding onto three points."
