Tottenham, Everton join interest for want-away Celtic winger McGeady

Premiership clubs are queuing for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady.

The Daily Mail says Celtic manager Neil Lennon is resigned to losing the Republic of Ireland winger, who has stayed in Glasgow this week and misses their pre-season US tour and training camp.

Spartak Moscow have maintained a long interest in the Glasgow-born player but he is known to prefer a move to England as the next part of his development and career.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is understandably a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old having managed him at Parkhead and he has the funds to match Celtic's £6million valuation.

But he will face competition from Tottenham, Everton and city rivals Birmingham City.
