Tottenham remain in the hunt for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Telegraph says Schneiderlin is very much Tottenham's first choice and head coach Mauricio Pochettino would guarantee the player first-team football, unlike Chelsea who have also scouted him.

Arsenal, another potential suitor, are looking elsewhere after the emergence of Francois Coquelin.

Spurs had a £10 million bid for Schneiderlin rejected last summer and would have to double that to tempt Southampton into cashing in.
