Tottenham progressed into the last 16 of the Champions League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Werder Bremen at White Hart Lane. Younes Kaboul, the match-winner at Arsenal, gave Spurs an early lead with a side-foot volley.
And Luka Modric effectively ended the contest just before the break as the hosts never needed to reach the heights to dispose of their German visitor's.
Spurs could even afford to miss a penalty by Gareth Bale, who saw his spot-kick saved.
Bale twice hit the woodwork, but Peter Crouch ended any slim hopes of a Werder comeback with a simple finish late-on.
