Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has rubbished claims that his club are closing in on a deal for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.
Reports suggest that Young is yet to sign a new Villa contract because he is holding out to see what Spurs have to offer but Redknapp has distanced himself from the 25-year old England international.
"I've been round his house a couple of times, we've done the deal," he jibed.
"He [Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier] never said tapping up, did he? We've never made an enquiry for him, no, never. There's nothing there.
"I have Aaron Lennon, Gareth Bale, Nico Kranjcar on the left. I can't get Nico Kranjcar on and he is a fantastic player," he added.
"It's hard enough as it is when you have a good squad because it's a juggling act all the time.
"I feel sorry for Nico. He gets three goals for his country in two games and I can't get him on the pitch again.
"What am I going to do with another left-winger, give myself another ¬headache?"
