Tottenham defender Cristiano Romero believes Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi can play at the next World Cup.
Messi is already 35, having won the 2022 edition of the World Cup at Qatar, and would be 39 by the time the 2026 World Cup ends.
However, Romero thinks that if one man can go on at that age, it is Messi.
He said, per The Mail: “Di María said that he'll continue (with the National Team), and I hope Leo will continue too.
“I see him (doing) very well physically, he played every game at the World Cup.
“For me he'll arrive at the next World Cup, but it's his decision. He has to continue."
