Vlad Chiriches is set to join Serie A club Napoli according to reports.

Sky Sports suggests that the Tottenham defender is in Italy to undergo a medical with the Naples outfit.

It is understood that Chiriches, 25, will complete a £4.5million transfer to Napoli this week after spending the past two seasons with Spurs.

During that time, the Romanian centre-back made 27 Premier League appearances for the north London club, but will now move on following the recent arrival of Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid.
