Tottenham chief Franco Baldini is in contact with Juventus over their available strikers.
The People says Baldini has been checking out Juventus strikers Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella.
The Juve duo, both 30, have played supporting roles this season and the Serie A leaders could let one of them leave this month, initially on loan.
Spurs coach Tim Sherwood will have competition for Montenegro's Vucinic with West Ham also keen.
Vucinic has started four games this season and Quagliarella three. Former Roma star Vucinic has 18 months left on his £3million-a-year deal.
Quagliarella may be a more difficult target for Baldini, after signing a contract extension last year.
