Tottenham are chasing Everton winger Kevin Mirallas.
The London Evening Standard says Spurs are believed to have made an enquiry for the Everton winger, who scored in his side's 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane earlier this season.
Although Everton knocked back Tottenham's interest and have no desire to sell Mirallas this month, chairman Daniel Levy may return with a formal bid before the window closes, with Aaron Lennon a candidate to be offered in part-exchange.
Mirallas, 27, has only 18 months remaining on his contract at Goodison Park and with Everton closer to the relegation zone than they are to the Champions League places, it will be difficult to persuade him to sign a new one.
