Tottenham captain Lloris: France can be happy with World Cup draw

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris insists France cannot underestimate their World Cup group opponents.

France have drawn Denmark, Tunisia and the winner of Peru, Australia and the United Arab Emirates playoff.

France captain Lloris said: "It's always tricky because we don't know the last opponent yet. We will have to wait for the playoffs. It's quite curious, Denmark we faced them in 2018. We also have the possibility of finding Peru or Australia. Tunisia will be a special match with the Tunisian community which is quite large in France. It will be a special game.

"When we see the other teams, the draw could have been more difficult.

"In a World Cup phase, there are no easy matches. You have to go there with a lot of humility. From experience, the first game is always important to enter the competition well. During the last three editions, it has always been difficult for the defending champion, with eliminations in the group stages or difficult first matches to win. The first game will be decisive to take the maximum confidence."
