Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits he's ripped up the scientific diet that his players were adhering to under predecessor Juande Ramos.
In his column for The Sun, Redknapp wrote: "As a 60-something manager, I am not a great one on new food fads and diets for footballers. I don't know whether red or white meat is best etc.
"But I do know the odd indulgence doesn't hurt players from time to time. Players' body fat levels are checked regularly and besides what can you do? Can you follow a player home to check if his missus is giving him steak and kidney pie for tea instead of pasta?
"As long as my boys are performing you can give them a bit of leeway.
"It was also amusing to read what my Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko said about me this week, that I look 'happy, as if I've just come from the pub'.
"Maybe he is not used to seeing a manager with a smile on his face but I haven't been in a pub for about 30 years - honest!"
