Tottenham boss Redknapp: Lennon has gone up a level

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was thrilled with Aaron Lennon's display in yesterday's victory over West Ham United.

Lennon was impressive again as Tottenham beat West Ham to return to the top four and Redknapp believes the player is improving with each game.

"He's hard to mark when he's in that type of form," said Redknapp. "You've got to give him the ball and with his pace and ability he can cause anybody problems.

"I think he has gone up a level. And I think he believes. We keep telling him what he can do and how good he is and I think he's playing with confidence.

"We talk about getting the ball to him, we work in training hard on giving him the ball, and I think he's responded to that - feeling very important and how important he is to the team.

"We're an open team, we go for it. We're always going to create plenty of chances but last few weeks, luckily enough, we've been able to keep clean sheets as well. We've got a strong squad, with good players."
