Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has entered the race for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
The News of the World says Fabiano was watched by Chelsea last season and the Premier League champions are still interested in the £20million-rated Brazilian.
Manchester City were also rumoured to be keen, as well as AC Milan, who later made it clear they would not come close to meeting the asking price.
Fabiano, 29, who is taking English lessons, is on duty for his country at the World Cup but is certain to leave Sevilla instead of running down the last year of his contract.
He has been offered a new deal at the Ramon Sanchez Stadium but is still keen to leave and try his luck in the Premier League this summer.
Tottenham are believed to have made contact with his agent Luis Fuentes about the player who has scored 62 goals in 127 games for the La Liga club.
"Sevilla have offered Luis a new contract but that means nothing. He is at the World Cup and everything will be discussed after that," said Fuentes. "I should warn all European clubs that he will expect wages on the same level as a player like Didier Drogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic."
