Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he could be powerless to prevent striker Roman Pavlyuchenko leaving the club.
The former Spartak Moscow marksman has insisted he would be off if he does not get more game time.
Redknapp said: "It is difficult because Crouch, Defoe, Keane, they're all playing well. And Roman had an injury. I do understand where he is coming from. He works hard, is a fantastic player but I can't do anything about it.
"It's been hard leaving Crouchy out, let alone getting Pav in the team. He's got a massive game for Russia. Language isn't an issue, he's a good lad, a smashing person."
