Shaka Hislop reckons Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wrecked Joe Cole's career! Cole plays for Lille tonight against Turkish side Trabzonspor in the Champions League after being forced out of Liverpool on loan.

But Hislop reckons current Spurs boss Redknapp set the former England midfielder back years when Cole was a youngster at West Ham United.

Former Hammers No.1 Hislop told the Daily Star: "I know Joe well, we were at West Ham together. I hope he rediscovers his form.

"But the game has moved on so much you have to contribute so much more than just when you're on the ball.

"Maybe he will get that at Lille.

"I don't think he got that at West Ham. Harry liked Joe just to express himself. But encouraging him to be himself held him back a bit."
