Tottenham boss keeps door ajar for Beckham loan

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has kept the door ajar for a loan move for David Beckham.

The former England captain and current LA Galaxy star has been training with Spurs during Major League Soccer's off-season after a short-term loan could not be agreed on by the two clubs.

With the 2011 MLS season due to start in about six weeks time, Galaxy thought it best if Beckham only trained to keep himself fit, which Tottenham agreed to, but Redknapp has hinted that a November or December loan move could be on the cards.

"I could do, yeah. I love him, I love the way he plays. That ball that (Rafael) Van der Vaart hit for (Peter) Crouchy, David hit about seven of them the other morning in training," Redknapp said.

"It was like he had radar and Crouchy kept heading them in the goal. I kept saying 'That's what I have been asking you to do lads'.

"David has been fantastic. He is a top-class bloke. He has been great around the place. You would love to have him at your club."
