Tottenham boss AVB wants Hulk reunion

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is ready to launch a bid for Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk. The London Evening Standard says Villas-Boas wants Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to back him in the transfer market this summer with a club-record bid for Brazil international Hulk.

The 26-year-old Hulk has had a torrid time since his £32million move to Zenit St Petersburg in September but Villas-Boas has made signing his former Porto player a priority this summer.

Hulk can play as a winger and a forward and, significantly, he would be an ideal replacement for Gareth Bale should Spurs decide to cash in on the Wales international.

Spurs could offer striker Emmanuel Adebayor as part of the deal.

Adebayor has struggled at Spurs since joining on a permanent deal from Manchester City for £5m last August, scoring just three League goals.
