Tottenham are weighing up a bid for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

French publication Foot Mercato is reporting that Spurs a considering making an offer for the France international who is set to depart St James' Park this summer.

Sissoko, 26, is keen to play top flight football following Newcastle's relegation to the Championship and has already been linked with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.

It is believed that the Magpies would want a transfer fee of around £21.5million for Sissoko who joined the Toon from Toulouse in 2013.

Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs are also showing considerable interest in Sissoko's Newcastle colleague Georginio Wijnaldum.
