Tottenham are keeping tabs on Lazio playmaker Hernanes.

The Brazilian was outstanding last season following his move from Sao Paulo, but has struggled to repeat that form this term.

Rome sources say Spurs have made tentative enquiries about the No10's availability as Lazio make contact about Roman Pavlyuchenko's situation.

Arsenal also were linked with Hernanes in the final days of the summer market as they lost Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively.
