Norwich City defender Adam Drury has joined the chorus of people labeling Tottenham star Gareth Bale as one of the best players in the world.
The 33-year old made a rare appearance for the Canaries last night with a start at left-back in the absence of Marc Tierney and was impressed by seeing Bale firsthand as the Welshman netted both Spurs' goals in the 2-0 result.
"Bale is right up there with the best players in the world, but that is what the Premier League is all about.
"You are going to come up against the best players and that is what the whole point of being here is.""It was a bit of a baptism of fire. When you look at the array of talent they have got, we knew it was going to be a tough game from the start," said Drury, who had made his last appearance in the top flight back in the 2004/05 season.
