Tottenham enjoyed their first league win in over a month by overcoming Stoke City 3-1 at White Hart Lane.
It was a vital three points for Spurs who have given themselves a game on the bottom four teams whilst Stoke are struggling, sitting second last.
Aaron Lennon drilled a shot through the legs of Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen in the eighth minute to get Harry Redknapp's side off to a perfect start.
The lead was then doubled by Jermaine Defoe fourteen minutes later when he finished a superb Spurs move at the near post and a third was added in the 24th minute through Michael Dawson.
Stoke came out fighting in the second half but could not do enough damage and only pegged back one goal through newcomer James Beattie who scored his first for the club in the 57th minute.
