Tottenham 2-0 Newcastle: Spurs win with ten men again

Tottenham have dealt with having a man sent off to take full points for the second outing in a row.

Harry Redknapp's men had Younes Kaboul sent off in the second half for an attempted headbutt on Cheik Tiote but it didn't deter them from defeating Newcastle United 2-0 at White Hart Lane.

In an ill-tempered affair, the home side took the lead just before the hour-mark through Aaron Lennon. GOAL The speedy winger advanced into the area from the right before driving low past Tim Krul to gets things under way from a scoring point of view.

Nine minutes later and Spurs had to deal with the Kaboul dismissal but somehow they managed to maintain their lead before going one better nine minutes from time.

GOALGareth Bale beat Steven Taylor down the left before striking powerfully past Krul for his sixth league goal of the season to essentially wrap up proceedings for the North Londoners.

The win allowed Tottenham to move into the fourth and extended their unbeaten run to eight whilst the Magpies dropped to 13th with their third loss in four matches.
