Fernando Torres insists he has nothing to prove to new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
There are suggestions that Mourinho believes Torres is not the force he once was.
But as the returning Chelsea boss begins the job of calling his squad members to tell them whether they are in or out of his thinking, Torres continued to back his own ability.
He said: "With Spain I have more than 100 caps and I have scored more than 25 goals. I have been playing 10 years for the national team so have nothing to prove. I am not a kid."
