Toronto still in the hunt for MLS title

Toronto FC have kept their MLS play-off dream alive following a tense 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on the weekend.

The victory enabled the Reds to tie for eighth place and will now face the lowly New York Red Bulls in the final game of the season to book their place in the play-offs.

Toronto must thank back-up goalkeeper Brian Edwards who produced a shutout against a team who had scored in the final 15 minutes of a game on 17 occasions.

"That was just a total team effort," the humble Edwards said.

"We were on the front foot, which is totally different than last week

"That's definitely an indication of confidence."

Reds coach Chris Cummins heaped praised on Edwards for his fine display.

"Eddie's come up with some massive saves for us today," Cummins said

"He's been outstanding."
