Toronto's Gordon looking forward to LA Galaxy challenge

Toronto FC striker Alan Gordon admits he is excited about taking on former club LA Galaxy on Wednesday night.

The 29-year old spent the better part of seven years with the Galaxy before moving onto Chivas USA and then to Toronto this season.

Gordon admitted it is a fixture, along with the Chivas one, that he had targeted when the season draw came out and he is eagerly anticipating taking on his old mates.

"Absolutely (looking forward to it)," he told MLSsoccer.com. "You know that I have that game circled on my calendar - along with Chivas USA - every year.

"I have a lot of friends on that team. (But) I'd like to win."

Gordon knows that the Galaxy are on the second leg of a three-leg road trip but expects them to be up for the clash and not use travel as an excuse.

"You're never 100 percent," Gordon added, "but that's just what you have to deal with as an athlete. You just need to be professional about it."
