Sebastian Giovinco was named the Major League Soccer Newcomer of the Year for 2015 on Monday.

The Toronto FC star, who joined the Canadian club from Juventus at the beginning of the season, has been rewarded for a dazzling debut campaign in the USA and Canada's top flight.

Giovinco has already won the Audi Golden Boot for scoring 22 goals, to go along with his 16 assists, and now has the Newcomer award to add to his individual collection.

The 23-time Italy international is also a leading contender for the 2015 MLS Most Valuable Player.
