Toronto FC signing Sebastian Giovinco has explained leaving Juventus.
Giovinco terminated his Juve deal to join TFC this week.
"I'd like to thank the club and those who came to welcome me at the airport," he told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
"I want to repay this trust on the pitch. My objective is to win with these colours and make history with the club. I left Italy because I had many problems there, in the sense that I was always spoken of as a player who couldn't play at the highest levels.
"But I always showed with the facts that it wasn't so. I wanted to find a city, a team that from the first day wanted me like this organisation has done. And so my choice was spot on.
"On my new adventure, I can say that I am a person and a footballer who can adapt to all situations.
"Together with my new teammates and my Coach we'll find the best solutions to do something great."
