Toronto FC defender Dan Gargan has described his first season with the club as a 'gift'.
The 27-year old former Chivas USA and Colorado Rapids man joined Toronto from Puerto Rico Islanders this year and has been an integral part of the line-up ever since.
Gargan admits it has been a tough road back to MLS but feels he has finally made it at his new home.
"It's been a real gift to be able to come up here and play," Gargan said. "I think it's because I felt what it was like to be away from (MLS). I had to claw to get back, and now that I'm here I don't want to go anywhere."
Gargan's defensive teammate, Nana Attakora, was full of praise for the man who costs Toronto just $40,000 a year.
"It's his style of play," said Attakora. "Our fans love play like that. He leaves everything on the field.
"He stays positive. He keeps us going in the change room."
