Toronto FC defender Nana Attakora had a slight scare earlier this week when reports emerged that he had been released by the MLS club.
The 22-year old one-time capped Canada international called in sick for training on Tuesday and what followed was a series of confusion and false alarms on fans' message boards as well as Twitter.
These notes indicated that Attakora had been released by Toronto but in the end it was all retracted, leaving the young gun to face the media.
"I'm not surprised," he told Canadian Soccer News on Tuesday.
"It happens all the time with you guys."
However, there is a little bit of history behind these rumours though as Attakora has been below-par in recent times and was also hooked by head coach Aron Winter twice in a row earlier this season.
