Toronto FC coach Mo Johnston rates MLS as competitive as the Scottish Premier League.

The former Celtic and Rangers striker said: "Big-name players have come here and failed. Until you try something, don't talk about it.

"People don't understand what this league is all about. We're a strong league, we're growing, we're young and we all need to work together.

"I'm never going to say the SPL is a bad league, because it's not. But this is a good league as well."
