Torino coach Walter Mazzarri was unhappy with their performance for Thursday night's 1-1 draw with Shakhtyor Soligorsk.
Toro striker Simone Zaza's goal was cancelled out by an injury-time Nikolai Yanush penalty. Toro won the Europa League qualifier 6-1 on aggregate.
They now face Wolves in the final qualifying round.
"We wanted to have a better match than we did," said Mazzarri.
“We realised that our opponents were actually much stronger than the result had led us to believe.
“I'd made it clear to my players that they should've believed it and attacked much more than we did in the first leg.
“Having said that, everyone who's played football knows that when you have such a big advantage like we had, it's never easy to come back with the right adrenaline, the one with which we always play.
“We'll have to give our best, regardless of who our opponents are. Given we'll play the first leg at home, it'll be important not to concede a goal.
“Certainly we'll have to do better defensively than we did today."
