Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest paid player in the game. A survey by Belgian football mag 'Sport Foot' has declared Ronaldo the best paid footballer on the planet with a salary of €12 million.

He is followed by his former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who is now on €11.5 million-a-year.
