Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood is still pushing his side to reach their target of finishing in the top four on the Premier League table.
Spurs edged Everton 1-0 on Sunday courtesy of Emmanuel Adebayor's second-half goal to replace the Toffees in fifth which has them three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
Sherwood is well aware that Tottenham need to pick up favourable results against the sides around them in order to clinch a Champions League spot and he believes that so far they have been able to achieve that.
"We keep looking at the top-four chase every weekend, thinking teams are going to drop points but they are not doing that," Sherwood said.
"Fourth place will be determined by how many points we pick up from these teams in and around you so we made a good start of that today.
"We beat Man United at Old Trafford and won today so it's not too bad."
Spurs next take on eighth-placed Newcastle United at St James' Park on Wednesday.
