Time remains for Barcelona hopefuls Coutinho and Mahrez

Despite the transfer window in England slamming shut, there still remains hope for Liverpool's Phillipe Coutinho and Leicester's Riyad Mahrez to complete their dream moves to Barcelona.

The Spanish transfer window will remain open for an extra 24 hours, allowing for Coutinho and Mahrez to make one final push in order to gain a move to the Spanish giants.

According to the Mirror, Mahrez has been spotted at Paris Airport, having flown into Europe from national team duty with Algeria in order to be able to finalise his move.

The Leicester winger arrived to the club in January of 2014 at an estimated cost of £400,000 pounds. His club currently evaluates his worth at as much as £45m.

Liverpool have stood by their statement that 'no offers for Philippe will be considered', and will look to do everything in their power to keep the Brazilian playmaker from leaving.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona will be able to force a move for either player before their deadline passes at midnight.
