Arsenal fullback Kieran Tierney clashed angrily with Watford attacker Cucho Hernandez in injury-time of the Gunners' 3-2 win.
The Mirror reports Arsenal were able to hold Watfod off as the north Londoners used their newly-found street smarts to wind the clock down.
Watford construed it as time-wasting and were not happy with their opponents as tempers flared in stoppage time.
Cucho Hernandez, who scored an acrobatic equaliser in the first half to cancel out Martin Odegaard's opener, tried to get Arsenal to speed up proceedings by forcefully putting the ball in Tierney's hands for a throw-in.
Tierney exaggerated the contact, falling to the ground briefly, which led to a coming together between both sets of players.
Hernandez was furious as he felt Tierney was guilty of diving.
Arsenal players tried to defuse the situation but they couldn't calm down the Watford man.
The Arsenal left-back then got back up and signalled to Hernandez that he would meet him after the game to settle the dispute.
Hernandez backed down and walked away from Tierney, as a result, as play restarted with Arsenal seeing out the victory.
