Tiago Djalo is delighted to be a Juventus player.

The former Lille defender completed his move this week and had his signing presentation today.

How were the first days?

“I'm very happy, it's a quality team with a very strong coach and I think I can learn a lot with him."

What struck you in particular?

“I arrived now and I feel very good, the team is strong and I like how they play. It's easier for me to learn this way, I wanted to play here because it's different from the French league. He will give everything for the team."

What convinced you to choose Juve and not Inter?

“I felt that Juve gave me a great opportunity, this is a club with a lot of history and I think I did well to sign with Juve."

How do you feel physically and is there a position on the pitch that you prefer?

"I feel good, my knee is good. Now it's a question of opportunity, I'm ready and I will give everything for the team. I can play on the left, right, in the middle."

Your former coach Giunti compared you to Tomori: is that true? Is there a player who inspires you?

"With Tomori we are a little different but I respect what he said. There are a lot of quality defenders, I liked Lilian Thuram, he played left and right and I'm like him".

Have you by any chance heard of Cristiano Ronaldo who was the last Portuguese here at Juve?

"I didn't speak to him, I heard that Juve wanted to buy me and this was the most important thing. I didn't have to speak to anyone, for me it was very important to sign with Juve."

How do you see the duel with Inter?

"We have to do a good job. We have a quality championship, we want to win and we have to do everything. It's important to play every match well and I think we have the qualities to win the championship."

Some background on your arrival at Juve and how do you plan to convince Allegri?

"I came here because I want to play, I'm very calm. I know that I have the quality to play here. I heard that Juve wanted me, I talked about the strategy with them, I felt good and I signed."

What did Weah tell you about Juventus when you spoke?

"He called me and told me that there was a quality team. I knew it, I came here because I felt that Juve had a strategy. Weah was important but nothing changed."

Is there an opponent you want to face?

"I'm ready to play with all the players. I know we have a quality championship but I'm a quality player and I'm ready to play with everyone."

Is your friend Leao happier or more worried about having you in Italy?

"He is happy for me, I have known him for a long time, I played with him in Portugal. If I have the opportunity to play against him I will give everything to do well."

What did Allegri ask you in these first hours?

"He gave me confidence, he knows me well. I know how the team plays but I still have to learn, this morning I spoke with him and I learned some things I didn't know because here we play differently than in France".

Was there any companion who helped you the most in these first days?

"I spoke a lot with Danilo, we speak the same language and he played with many people I know. Even Alex Sandro. We play in the same position and he told me what to do. The whole team wants to help me and I feel good."

Is there a reason why you chose the number 33 shirt?

"In Lille I played with the number 3, here Bremer is with that number and so I thought about adding another 3."

Do you think you'll be called up on Saturday?

"I feel good, I worked yesterday and today with the team. The coach decides, I'm calm, we have to wait."
