Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thorgan Hazard admits he was unaware brother Eden turned down a move to Bayern Munich.

It was revealed Hazard told Chelsea teammates he chose Real Madrid last summer ahead of Bayern as he didn't want to take the spotlight away from younger brother Thorgan.

The BVB midfielder told the Athletic: "I didn't know that he could have gone to Bavaria. But that's his mentality.

"He is the big brother and maybe he wants to protect the little brother."

He added: "He is a very good brother and a good guy. He never has problems with teammates or coaches because he always remains himself. It's a problem if you don't do it."
