Thomas Gronnemark works with some of the biggest clubs in Europe on the art of throw-ins and the marginal gains they can provide.

As well as a hugely successful period as a coach with Liverpool between 2018 and 2023, Gronnemark has worked with current Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax and Ralf Rangnick at RB Leipzig.

But he prefers not to compare the methods and qualities of the coaches he has worked with. Instead, Gronnemark values the experience of working with such major names in the game.

On the differences between the managers he's worked with, Gronnemark said: “I have worked with important managers, for example Ten Hag at Ajax, Ralph Rangnick too. I don't like to compare people too much because I think everyone is different from the others."

The latest club the Danish coach has added to his CV is Brentford after rejoining the Bees at the start of the current campaign.

Speaking to TribalFootball.com, Gronnemark revealed why he decided to join Thomas Frank's side: “When I accept an offer, I don't look at who the coach is, but I am interested in if they are serious, if they want to get better in this aspect.

“Regarding Brentford, they came to me again and asked if I could help them regarding throw-ins because they needed to get better in that aspect, and since I came the results have been much better.

“For me it's not about the name of the club, I am more than happy to help any club in the world to get better in this aspect of the game."

He added, "Of course, Frank is a great guy, really great to work with, really positive, and a good listener too. And he is structured in his training and coaching, so he is one of the key aspects why Brentford has performed so well in the last years."
