Prospective club owner Thaksin Shinawatra wants to bring Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips back to Manchester City.
The Sunday Mirror says an audacious bid to bring Wright-Phillips back - two years after he was sold to Chelsea for £20m - is being planned by Shinawatra as a sign to City's disillusioned fans that he really means business.
