Roberto Mancini took the option to start Carlos Tevez today and even though he missed a penalty and failed to score, the Manchester City boss was happy with his output.
Mancini went with Tevez over Edin Dzeko despite the Bosnian scoring four goals in his last outing against Tottenham but insists he was delighted with how the Argentine performed alongside hat-trick hero Sergio Aguero in the 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic.
"Carlo is not 100% at the moment but I am happy for him because for me he played very well with Sergio, he missed a penalty but this can happen - usually he scores," said Mancini.
"It was important for him to start, to play and to play well and maybe in two or three games he will be 100%."
And Mancini also had special praise for a quartet of his players who were all instrumental in the win.
"Silva is a top, top player but so is Aguero, so is Yaya Toure, so is Nasri - for them it is easy to play football," he added.
