Chelsea skipper John Terry hopes to write his name in the club's record books.

Terry has set his sights on becoming the club's leading appearance maker.

The centre-half is third in the record books on 661 behind Peter Bonetti (729) and Ron Harris (795).

He said: "I didn't think it was possible before but I'm not sure now. It's still a long way. They're two legends of the club.

"I have massive respect for them so to even get close is great."
