Chelsea captain John Terry says spirit inside the camp remains rock solid.
Following the club's Champions League exit to Paris St Germain, Jose Mourinho insisted his belief in the players was "unshakable".
That gave the players a much-needed boost, said Terry, who said: "It means a lot to hear that. There have been some changes over the last couple of years and the manager has been getting the squad he wants.
"If someone had said start at the start of the season we'd have the Capital One Cup in our pockets and be where we are in the League, the players would have bitten his hand off. We are top of the League, with a game in hand and for a reason - we have been the best side so far. We must maintain that."
