Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed Great Britain 2012 manager Stuart Pearce has contacted the Welsh outfit over the availability of players for the London Games team.
Rodgers said:
However, Rodgers would not reveal the identities of the players asked.
The Football Association of Wales, like its counterparts in Scotland and Northern Ireland, has repeatedly expressed opposition to its players competing amid fears over the national team's independence.
"I've been contacted with regards to the players."
English winger Scott Sinclair, Welsh midfielder Joe Allen and his defender countrymen Neil Taylor and Jazz Richards would fit the selection criteria.
